Overview

The KUNZ BTS NGtronic® is a state-of-the-art brake testing system designed for precise, reliable and efficient maintenance of aircraft braking systems. It enables comprehensive hydraulic testing of brake assemblies to ensure safety and optimal performance, with intuitive operation, high-precision measurement capabilities and a compact footprint.

The NGtronic® features a protected test cabin against hydraulic oil and Skydrol spray, an integrated turntable and mirror on the back of the cabin for 360° brake access, and electrical safety interlocks on all doors for maximum operator protection. It is available in two variants: the NGtronic -T with an overhead crane for brake loading, and the NGtronic -C for integration into existing conveyor belt systems.

With a 9-inch touchscreen, digital pressure gauges (0–500 psi and 0–5,000 psi), accuracy of 0.125% BFSL and system pressure tolerance of max. 2%, the BTS NGtronic® delivers the precision required for all brake CMM testing requirements.

The StepMatic® Function – Guided Testing, Every Time

The unique StepMatic® function saves valuable time during every testing procedure. It allows the operator to programme test sequences – including pressure settings, cycle test parameters and time intervals – into the machine in accordance with the CMM of the specific brake type.

The BTS NGtronic® then executes the programme step by step, with the operator simply confirming and starting each step at the press of a button. This significantly simplifies and streamlines the entire testing process.

The StepMatic® function stores up to 60 different brake part numbers, enabling repeated tests to be performed quickly and reliably.

Two Concepts. One Performance Standard

The BTS NGtronic® comes in two distinct variants to match different workshop workflows:

The NGtronic -T features an integrated turntable onto which the brake is loaded using an overhead crane. The turntable provides 360° access to the brake during testing, and the mirror on the back of the cabin ensures full visual coverage.

The NGtronic -C is designed for integration into existing conveyor belt systems, enabling the brake to be moved directly into the test cabin as part of a continuous production flow – significantly boosting throughput in high-volume environments.

Whichever variant is chosen, the KUNZ BTS NGtronic® delivers the same high standard of precision, safety and CMM compliance.

Fully Automated Version Available:

The KUNZ BTS NGtronic® is also available as a fully automated brake test stand. Unlike the StepMatic® system, the automated version requires virtually no operator intervention. Once the test programme is loaded, the machine executes every step automatically – from pressure adjustments to cycle testing and timing sequences.

This seamless automation ensures consistent, highly accurate results for every brake tested, eliminates the risk of human error and significantly reduces testing time. Operators can monitor multiple tests simultaneously, increasing productivity and workflow efficiency.

With the ability to store extensive brake part databases, the fully automated BTS NGtronic® is ideal for high-volume testing environments, offering unmatched reliability, speed and ease of use.

Electrical power requirments

The KUNZ BTS NGtronic® comes with a factury set power requirement of 50/60 Hz, 400V 3-phases, 16 ampere fuse However, we will always need to know your local power requirements in order to check for compatability. In general, your local power requirements will always be available with KUNZ machines in return of extra costs.
