Overview

The KUNZ BDU Brake Drain Unit has been specifically designed for the evacuation of hydraulic fluid from aircraft brake pistons and cylinders during brake maintenance – without the need for a press, which is typically messy, requires significant force and risks damaging components.

The BDU is designed as a mobile trolley with rollers for easy in-shop movement. The piston housing is placed on a platform that also functions as a catch basin for any hydraulic fluid leakage. The lower level of the trolley carries a container for safe storage and disposal of Skydrol or mineral oil, as well as the pump that is activated via a push button on the BDU housing.

Designed to collect fluids in full compliance with environmental regulations, the BDU provides a clean, safe and efficient solution for one of the most HSE-sensitive tasks in aircraft brake maintenance.
