Overview

The KUNZ BLT Brake Lifting Tool is a robust, compact and purpose-built device for the safe lifting and positioning of aircraft brake assemblies during in-shop maintenance operations.

Constructed from galvanised, high-strength materials with protective coatings, the BLT is built for long-term use in demanding MRO environments. It is compatible with all standard hoisting devices and lifting systems, and automatically grips the brake hub when lift is applied – eliminating the need for manual adjustments during the lifting process.

No metal-to-metal contact occurs between the BLT and the brake assembly throughout the entire operation, protecting precision-engineered brake components from damage. Two sizes are available to cover all commercially available aircraft brakes, with a brake hub diameter range of 133–220 mm (5.1–8.7 in) and a maximum carrying capacity of 200 kg (440 lb).
